Beautiful Advent Candles this Christmas for Your Family

In years past Honey Candles® has received many requests to make non-toxic 100% pure natural beeswax candles available as Advent candles. Many groups used our blue, violet and white tapers but there was still a wish for a pink Advent candle. There are many variations on the colors used during Advent and the idea interested us . After considerable thought we decided on purple, pink and white for our pure natural beeswax Honey Candles® Advent Candles

The sequence of the lighting of the colors is sometimes different. Here is a sequence I would suggest but I think family or religious tradition should be your guide.

In 2012 the first day of Advent is Sunday December 2. On that day the first purple candle is lit. This is the Hope candle. Have your Advent ceremony or religious service and put the candle out.

The second purple candle is Love. The next Sunday light the candle you lit the week before and then the second one. Have your Advent ceremony or religious service and put the candles out.

The pink candle is Joy. On the third Sunday light the first two purple candles in the sequence that were first lit and then light the pink one. Have your Advent ceremony or religious service and put the candles out.

The third purple candle is Love. On the fourth Sunday light the candles in sequence lighting the last purple candle last. Have your Advent ceremony or religious service and put the candles out.

The white candle is the Christmas candle. On Christmas Day light the candles in sequence lighting the white candle last. As before have your Advent ceremony or religious service and put the candles out.

Advent is associated with religious ceremonies. If you wish to know more there are many sites on the internet with information. One is called How to make and use an Advent Wreath; another is What is the Advent Wreath. There are many more that can help you and inspire you with ideas.

I think Advent is a cozy family tradition to celebrate the coming of Christmas whether your ceremony be specifically religious or a more general celebration of love and peace. At Honey Candles® we believe we have made the perfect Advent Candles. They are hand poured in the same mould as the popular 9 inch Honey Candles® base with the tapered bottom to fit most candlestick holders.

Mary from Sacramento CA told us after she received her order, "I found you on-line while looking for Advent Candles made of beeswax. I found yours, and they were exactly what I was looking for."

Janet from Kitchener, ON let us know, “I just got my order and I want you to know I love your Advent Candles. The colors are traditional and liturgically perfect. When polished they are exquisite”

Best of all, from our point of view they are nontoxic beautiful pure beeswax candles that will bring a touch of elegance to your Advent. You can burn them in your home or church and know you and your family are not breathing toxins from paraffin candles. As beeswax candles are a natural air purifier they will contribute to your healthy home.

Honey Candles® wishes you lovely Advent celebrations and a peaceful holiday season ahead.
