Beeswax Candles Piano Tapers Pillars ScapeEarth hour is almost upon us! On Saturday March 24th from 8:30-9:30 PM people around the world will turn off their lights and electronics in an effort to reduce our global impact on the environment. Earth Hour is also a great opportunity to disconnect from our phones and spend time with our families and friends. We have compiled a list of 4 great candlelit activities and beautiful handmade Honey Candles® beeswax candles to pair with them.

1. Build a puzzle
Puzzles are a perfect Earth Hour activity. They are a great way to unwind and relax, and they particularly relaxing when accompanied by Honey Candles® Tealights. Pure beeswax tealights provide a beautiful, natural amber light and won’t take up much space, which is particularly important for those 1000-piece puzzles! If you are an extreme puzzle lover, you can go beyond an hour and set a goal to keep your electronics and lights off until the puzzle is complete.

2. Play a game
Card and board games are a great way to fill your Earth Hour with fun and laughter. Light some natural Honey Candles® Tapers and gather your family and friends and your favorite games to make for a memorable Earth Hour. To continue reducing your electric use, make game night a regular occurrence; no phones, no lights, just games, beeswax candles and great times!
3. Have a jam sessionbeeswax candles
Whether you are a pianist or a guitar player, earth hour is a perfect opportunity to sit down and enjoy some time with your instrument. Make it a family event by adding tambourine and percussion players. Give your acoustic session an upgrade by placing Honey Candles® Pillars throughout the room. These natural, handcrafted candles will provide gorgeous lighting while giving your unplugged session a entrancing look and feel, worthy of an album cover!
4. Candlelit Yoga
Candlelit Yoga during Earth Hour is a perfect way to focus on the Earth’s well being, as well as your own. Honey Candles® Gala candles are the perfect pair to yoga. Galas can be burned in a variety of holders by adding sand to the holder. These natural hand-dipped candles burn for approximately 45 minutes which gives your yoga session a timer without having to use electronics. If you would like to add some meditation to your yoga, try our Enlighten Line Chakra tealights and candlesticks.
We hope you all enjoy Earth Hour and find some great electronic-free activities to do. Let us know how you are participating in Earth Hour!
