beeswax pillar candles burning tips

At Honey Candles® we really do have an amazing variety of natural beeswax pillars. I’m sure that there is one for you. We have so many colors – Natural, White (and remember our white is not bleached), Burgundy, Forest Green, Violet, Blue, Tangerine, Dark Brown, Mountain Jade, Spring Crocus and Red. With this amazing selection of colors there is a beeswax Pillar that will complement your décor, set off your next dinner party or just tickle your fancy. We also have a variety of beeswax pillar sizes – all 3 inches in diameter and your choice of 3, 5 or 7 inches high. And they come in round or square. Traditional candle burners like the round natural beeswax Pillars but if you are looking for a change try our square natural beeswax Pillars. They do burn a little differently than round beeswax Pillars. The burn pool is round inside a square. They are beautiful and less usual.  Southern California may be starting a trend.  We find ourselves shipping more and more square pillars there.

When you’ve picked out your perfect Honey Candles® beeswax Pillar when is the right time to burn it? Don’t burn a natural beeswax pillar unless you are going to burn it for at least three hours to create a good wax pool. If I am going to curl up with a book for the evening or spend a quiet evening with friends or family chatting, Honey Candles® beeswax Pillars are my favorite candles to burn. There are some things to remember about them. Beautiful natural beeswax pillars need and deserve a little attention. Here are my best burning tips for pillars! The wicks need to be trimmed to ¼ inch before you burn them and they need to be kept at about that length throughout the burn to prevent smoking and flickering. You can either leave a mantle around the outside or you can gently fold the wax into the pool being careful not to flood the wick. Do not throw your match back into the wax pool. Each of those matches acts like another wick and can burn the side out of the candle if they are burning. This can leave a mess on your table, table cloth and floor. Do not blow out your Honey Candles® beeswax pillar. Dunk the wick gently into the pool of wax and straighten and center it. If you check out the last three links and follow the suggestions you will be an expert Honey Candles® beeswax Pillar burner, certainly as good as any of our staff as several of us have shared our best tips on pillar burning.

We want you to enjoy burning Honey Candles® natural beeswax candles. Beeswax candles are the longest burning candle naturally. They need no additives to outburn any other candle! See our candle care section for more tips on how to get the best burn from your pure beeswax candles. And remember - Honey Candles are hand poured and made in Canada.
