Across the country and around the world we find ourselves dealing with an unprecedented situation. It’s difficult to know what’s “right” in these unfamiliar times as we undoubtedly find ourselves with more questions than answers. What we do know is that there are medical experts, healthcare workers, and other essential services staff working tirelessly around the clock to ensure the health and safety of our communities, and that they are all asking the same thing of us: stay home if possible.
After several days of careful deliberation, and because we feel a strong sense of responsibility for the safety of our staff, their families, and the wider community, we have made the difficult decision to send the majority of our team home from work for the time being. We acknowledge that we are not an essential service and this move was the best way for us to truly honour the advice of experts regarding social distancing at this critical time.
But, we’re still shipping orders!
We have plenty of inventory on hand to fill your orders and we are still shipping daily.
As our workshop is located on the same property as our home, we are grateful that we are able to practice social distancing while continuing to run our business. With the entire workshop to ourselves, we are having a great time shipping your orders and making and packaging candles as needed. But it sure is lonely around here and we miss everyone a lot!
Our Sales Manager, Jill, is working from home processing orders and is available Monday – Friday 8:00-4:00 to handle any inquiries by email at info@honeycandles.com. You can see her cozy set up in the photo at the bottom of this blog.
We have the best team in the world and couldn’t be happier with how everyone is handling this challenging time. Staff members have reported that they are happy to be spending these uncertain days with their loved ones and we’ve also heard that they’re enjoying having more time for hobbies such as photography and gardening.
While we really do miss the social interaction that came from having a shared work space, we find ourselves at ease knowing that we are doing our part.
While it is extremely unlikely that the virus would survive on a surface during the course of a delivery, we aren’t taking any chances and have restricted access to our workshop and shipping area as well as implementing increased cleaning procedures.
We are filled with gratitude for the continued support from our customers and retail partners during this difficult time and we’re confident that we’ll all make it through this together 😊

I just ordered on Tuesday and my parcel has already arrived! The candles were packaged perfectly, I really appreciate the recyclable paper used for protection during shipping. I LOVE the mini beehive candle!! And the smell of your candles is amazing, it has been some time since I treated myself to quality candles and I am 100% thrilled with my purchase.
