Bloom: All pure natural beeswax candles will develop a white bloom over time. This is an indicator of purity. If you prefer a polished look simply buff with a soft cloth, cheese cloth or nylon.
Extinguishing Candles: Simply dunk the wick into melted wax and straighten, making sure to center it for an even burn. This guarantees an easy relight. This does not apply to candlesticks such as Tapers, Tubes and Bases – it is better to snuff them out.
Trimming the wick: Occasionally carbon may build up on the wick. If this occurs extinguish the candle, trim the wick and relight.
Drips: When a flame flickers a lot it may drip. There are many factors which cause the flame to flicker: drafts, air furnaces, fans, etc. Candles are best burned in a draft-free environment.
Clean-up: The easiest way to remove beeswax from your holder is to place it in the freezer for a few hours. Once removed from the freezer simply chip the wax off and wash with warm soapy water. For special information on removing the wax from your votive candle holders read further…
Spills: If you spill on fabric, place the item in the freezer until it hardens and you can chip it off. You can also cover the fabric with paper towel and press a warm iron over the spill.
Warning: To prevent fire, do not leave burning candles unattended. Do not place burning candles on or near anything that can catch fire. Keep burning candles out of the reach of children.
